Sheryl Huang - Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager at the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB), Sheryl is responsible for the research, development and the delivery of auditing and assurance standards and related guidance forming part of the AUASB strategy and corporate plan.  Her primary focus is bridging academic research with standard-setting, particularly in the areas of Australian Auditing Standards, Standards on Sustainability Assurance, and associated guidance and education materials.

Before joining the AUASB, Sheryl completed her PhD in Accounting at Monash University, specialising in auditing regulatory research, including audit inspection, non-audit services and auditor independence. She also has teaching experience at Monash University and professional experience at BDO.
