The AASB and AUASB, jointly with CPA Australia and CA ANZ held a Dialogue Series on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 to discuss issues related to going concern disclosures and auditing. The recording of this session is now available on the AASB website

Associate Professor Brad Potter (University of Melbourne) and Rebecca Mattocks (PhD candidate of Monash University) presented their relevant research findings on going concern disclosures. Anne Waters (Deputy Technical Director of AUASB) and Toby Langley (EGM- Customer and Strategic Finance, Xero) provided their unique insights to the discussion. Amir Ghandar (Reporting and Assurance Leader at CA ANZ) moderated the session. 

 

The AUASB has also just released a Consultation Paper seeking public comment on the IAASB’s Exposure Draft on International Standard on Auditing (ISA) 570 (Revised), Going Concern. The AUASB invites all stakeholders to comment on all or some of the questions contained in the AUASB Consultation Paper by 14 August 2023 via the AUASB website.
