New Update to AUASB Digital Standards Portal

The AUASB’s Digital Standards Portal (“the portal”) has been recently updated to include new features which enhance the accessibility, functionality and usability of the full suite of AUASB Standards. Since the release of the portal in June 2021, the AUASB has updated many of the key features based on feedback received from users.

As part of the recent update to the portal, three main features have been added:

• The portal’s new reporting date filter has been added to enable the filtering of standards that are effective over a given reporting period. Additionally, you can now filter to view only those standards that are effective for the current reporting period or those which are yet to be effective.
• The portal’s improved search function has been upgraded to improve its accuracy and relevance, and now enables the refinement of results through filtering by category, reporting period and status of standards.
• The portal how has new movable reference windows that enable you to ‘float’ multiple paragraph references and footnotes within a single standard. This makes it easier to access references both within and across the AUASB Standards. Additionally, you can now keep track of previously viewed references through the ‘recently viewed’ tab under the reference window.

Also, in the near future the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) will be releasing a beta version of its Standards Portal, which will contain similar functionality to access Australian Accounting Standards and associated materials online.
