Jon is currently General Manager of Internal Audit at Perpetual and Deputy Chairman of the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.

Previously, Jon was Head of Internal Audit for ING in Australia and New Zealand. Prior that that, he was Head of Operational Risk & Internal Audit at Insurance Australia Group.

Jon was born and raised in Leeds in the north of England. He is a Chartered Accountant and spent nine years with KPMG in England and South Africa before moving to Australia in 1992. Since his arrival in Australia he has held the positions of senior manager at Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young, and Director of Audit at the NSW Audit Office, before taking on the role of Head of Internal Audit at NRMA which subsequently listed and became Insurance Australia Group.
